Ashton & Parsons Teething Powders Information
What are Ashton & Parsons Teething Powders?
Ashton & Parsons Teething Powders are a traditional herbal remedy used to alleviate teething pain and associated symptoms, including sore and tender gums, flushed cheeks, and dribbling, based on traditional use only.
How do I know if a baby is teething?
Babies typically begin teething around 4 to 6 months old, although it may start a bit earlier or later. Teething marks the onset of milk teeth pushing through the gums, which can cause discomfort.
The most uncomfortable stages occur when teeth are on the brink of breaking through the gums, with each episode lasting a few days. Typical teething symptoms include:
- Red or inflamed gums
- Increased drooling
- Heightened urge to chew on objects
- More fussiness or irritability than usual
- A slight temperature of 38°C
- Difficulty in falling asleep
Alternative teething treatments
In addition to teething powders, there are several alternative treatments you can explore to alleviate teething discomfort for your child. Since each child is unique, you may need to experiment with various remedies before finding one that works best. Here are some options to consider:
- Providing teething rings for them to chew on
- Offering foods like melon slices or breadsticks
- Increasing the frequency of face cleaning to prevent rashes
